La maestosità delle montagne, i colori riflessi sul lago, le ombre nei vicoli, l'elegante austerità delle donne, la genuinità delle tradizioni hanno attratto celebri fotografi che, a partire dagli anni '30, hanno immortalato le nostre zone.

Un gruppo di amici appassionati di fotografia, una sera d'estate, in una caratteristica piazzetta, davanti a un buon bicchiere di vino, ha pensato di associarsi per cercare di apprendere dai grandi maestri che hanno immortalato queste contrade (da Bresson a Giacomelli, da Berengo Gardin a Scianna) e, confrontandosi su tempi di posa e aperture del diaframma, coltivare assieme l'hobby di quella che molti considerano l'ottava arte!

A group of friends fond of photography, on a summer evening, in a characteristic Piazzeta, enjoying a glass of wine, thought of banding together in founding a club in the effort to study and learn from the great masters who gave everlasting fame to our corner of the world (from Bresson and Giacomelli, to be Scianna and Gardin), quibble about apertures, times, white balance and cultivate the hobby in fact many consider it the eighth art!
